This project began as most do: ambitious spring cleaning! Every year people go through their old clothes and things and donate them to thrift shops for a good cause. After doing this yearly ritual it struck me that I didn't want to let go of some of my favorite t-shirts. I still like my geeky soft shirt even though I don't wear it anymore, and this gave me an idea to make something from something I already own. I took a beautiful screen printed tee and started sewing it into an accent pillow. As I kept sewing and looking for things to recraft, I had another idea, why not hunt for treasures at the thriftshops? Now I am creating new things from other things and I'm helping saving the environment and boosting the economy too. Now I'm ready to share my fun projects with all of you!
